Weather Recap for the 2010 LO300
The 2010 version of the LO300 saw some really interesting weather come their way shortly after the start. Mark Thornton, a Lake Erie sailor who also happens to be a meteorologist, has published an excellent summary of the event. To view it, please point your browser to:
Mark also has an excellent website, LakeErieWX that is well worth a look. While focusing on Lake Erie, it is of interest to all Great Lakes skippers.
2013 Lake Ontario 300 Solo Challenge Documents are posted below:
Before registering for the LO300SC, take a moment to check out the background information on the LO300 Website: LO300 website.
LO300 online registration is done on the YachtScoring website where the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions will be posted: Yachtscoring Website.
The GLSS Required Equipment List, Exposure Suit Certification (if applicable), and Waiver and Release must be signed and turned in at registration before the skippers meeting.
The Required Equipment list was modified in February of 2013 so please review it carefully!
GLSS Medallion Entry Fee
In addition to the race entry fee submitted to the LO300, all skippers must submit an additional fee of $50.00, which covers the cost of a GLSS commemorative medallion. To submit your funds for the medallion, simply click the PayPal™ button below.
Non-GLSS members who wish to enter the Lake Ontario 300 Solo Challenge, must submit a Sailing Resumé and also a Solo Passage Documentation form to be considered for entry. Early submission of these documents will allow the GLSS Board of Directors ample time for review, and provide you with time to correct any deficiencies.
